NTAUUS Endowment Awards Past Recipients
The First Annual NTAUUS Awards Luncheon was held Saturday, February 28, 2004. The luncheon recognized, among others, congregations receiving grant money made available from interest earned on the principle of the Raible Place Charitable Trust. The luncheon was held at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, Texas.
The Trust represents monies after NTAUUS divested itself of Raible Place Apartments in December 2002. The Raible Place Apartments were an example of what a government subsidized housing program should and could be.
Grants totaling $50,000 were available to NTAUUS member congregations. Wise investment of the principle will allow for future growth of Unitarian Universalism in North Texas.
Rev. William Sinkford, UUA President, spoke at the luncheon.
